Engadine Crusaderssoccer ball

The Engadine Crusaders Soccer Club came into being after a small meeting of about twelve people on a Sunday afternoon late in 1967. The meeting was held at the Engadine Methodist Church and consisted of several local ministers and a few parents. It was an informal affair held sitting in the afternoon sun.

The main reason for the meeting was to discuss the formation of a church based club. The main aim of the formation of the club was to have games played on Saturdays and leave Sundays for church activities.

The first uniform was a half-maroon/ half-white jersey, white shorts and maroon socks with a white band at the top. On the jersey there was a maroon shield with a white cross in the centre and the logo, which read For God and Sport.
